AMD is making record profits with record growth without that now. Their act is together.

We started hearing AMD would be crushed in one more quarter last fall. It didn't happen then, it didn't happen Q1 of 2000, it didn't happen Q2 of 2000, it isn't happening now in Q3 of 2000 (just walk into just about any store on the planet earth that sells computers and see which processors are in the high end systems).

Q4 of 2000 is when AMD first fires back with an offense instead of just defense.

Whoever "wins" I know that I'll be getting fantastic computers at low cost. If not for AMD's present efforts, the only option would a Pentium III at 700MHZ that couldn't run without $1,000 of rambus.
