RE: "Millennium files $1 bln shelf in debt, equity"

If you hadn't noticed that was on Aug. 1st. It had little to no effect on share price so apparently no one other than you thinks it's a big deal. What matters more is where they use the money.

From the DD I've been able to do MLNM is a leader in Genomics medical technologies among other things. I feel safe in my investment with them long term. Even short term their share price appreciation has been outstanding.

As for your assertion that stocks related to the Medical industry are dead money (or worse) I couldn't disagree more. As just one small example, look at the advances being made in Cancer research and the drugs and potential drugs coming from that. Also genomics is in it's infancy. No one knows what medical "miracles" may come from that yet. Some of these companies will be printing money. Just a matter of picking the correct one(s).

There's no doubt there are large risks investing in the biotech and pharmaceutical companies. But, to make the sweeping generalization that these companies aren't going to make money is extremely short sighted IMO.
