Rather than paying the outrageous prices for the fiber component companies, I've been focusing on RFIC companies that supply interfaces to optical links. Some like ANAD (PE of 23 times 2001 earnings) are very reasonably priced compared to JDSU, etc. What is your opinion of slide #18 (Fiber Product Domain) in the ANAD presentation below? I'm sure the volumes for these interface components will be much lower than for optical repeaters and amplifiers but I would think the relative growth rates will be similar.
