Bill,

Two potential biotech shorts to keep on the radar screen-

NSTK- Hyped ny GUMM longs on he Yahoo thread this is another loser company with nothing to offer and nothing but red ink to show for their efforts. Unfortunately, at around $4 it is not marginable at this point but has gone as high as $8 in the last year and, IMO, should be shorted whenever it is possible to do so.

2) LGND- Not a scam stock but one of the weakest biotechs out there. It has never made a dime and even though it has products on the market but they are not profitable. This stock inevitably tanks every time it gets over $15. As an added plus, it has it's own bona fide pro shill by the name of Henry Niman that has been hyping this stock on the internet for over 5 years now. He began hyping it on the internet news groups and then graduated to SI. I believe at one point about 4 or 5 years ago he predicted with "certainty" that LGND would hit $40 within 12 months. The highest it has ever gotten was around $26 recently during the biotech rally but, as usual, crashed back to earth to it's current price of around $11. Niman admits being professionally connected with LGND and, when it comes to shills, makes Dan "Valium" Zimmerman look like an amateur. It should be watched closely and a short position should be seriously under consideration anytime it gets over $15.
