Anyway..., I read somewhere that one reason that they've had such problems with power shortages in the People's Republic of California this summer is because a lot of hyropower from the Northwest isn't available because the water is being diverted for salmon runs and other assorted eco-stuff.

Will Gore and the other Ecos take any blame for this from the PRC? No, it's all being blamed on deregulation and the greedy utilities.

BTW, due to the extremely-burdensome EPA regulations the only way a new large dam will ever be built in the United States is if we go into a massive energy shortage caused depression.
