I use the model as a screening tool to look for the companies that I want to spend more time to further evaluate. I get a quick look at the cash flow mult vs. it's peers, the leverage, the market cap, what the analyst think of the company and it's trend and if the institutions are net buyers or sellers of the stock and it's trend. There are lots of factors to evaluate. All of the things you mentioned, plus exploration upside, the reserves per share, the life of the reserves, the amount of reserves that are PDP vs. PUD, the mix of oil vs. gas, the five year average finding cost per BOE etc, etc, etc. It's a lot of fun.
