Parrot Gets Parking Ticket

ATHENS (Reuters) - A traffic policeman in the Greek town of
Patras reckoned that a parrot was obstructing a pavement on his
beat, and promptly gave it a ticket.

The feathered offender was perched outside a pet shop on a
stand every morning by his owner.

The shopkeeper complained that the policeman had not
ticketed nearby illegally parked cars, but was told he had only
been assigned to get the bird, called Coco.

Greek television showed the owner handing the ticket to the
parrot, who tore it up.

Tim:

Sounds like my wife's problem. She couldn't find her way to the grocery store without guidance from someone! Our oldest son has the same problem. It's fortunate that his wife and I can find almost anywhere from anywhere. Our younger son and his wife have good senses of direction as well. Guess that those who don't should find people who do. Fortunately, we haven't had to pay any hefty fines!
