rethe federalists public schools
You are so right. As a public school teacher I can assure you children are indeed being "programmed". And those that do not program well are drugged: in fact in some states the schools can FORCE parents to drug their children with ritalin, etc, against the parents will.
There are many home schooling parents in my neighborhood. I'm very proud of them. They give up luxuries so that they can have one parent stay home and school the children. They work and plan hard, They "make do" with one vehicle, inexpensive vacations, etc etc etc. They may not be Libertarians but they are assuring that their children have their values and not "the states". Nevertheless, you should see the threats and pressure they are subjected to. They are almost afraid to take their children to the doctor because of the "why aren't they in school?" questions, and intimate they are neglecting or in some way abusing their child. It's scary.

I don't believe in public schools. We should end income tax and have all private schools: there would be schools of every imaginable tuition available and the "poor" would not be uneducated if they wanted an education.
