I think you miss the point of what was posted. The "mining engineers" were not employees but people who had done work on the properties and therefore not insiders.

Auric and the others who expose frauds, scams or whatever have no links to the companies they expose so would not be considered insiders by any definition.

They do the work and make their work public ...... I fail to see why they do not have the right to take a position that is consistent with their findings and posting. An "analyst" who gives out a buy recommendation has every right to do the same .....just not to sell into any buying that may result from their recommendation.

Though I know about as little of factual cases of insider info as you, I did see a couple examples somewhere. One was if you overheard a conversation in a bar (which any one sitting where you were could) and that was legal. I dont think insider info is the same as secret info as you portray. Also, infomation does not have to be posted publicly it just has to be available to a public person. Certainly, anyone could have hired an engineer to check the BRX area and determined for themselves that there was no gold. They would not have to even make that information public (though if they were short then i suspect they would)
