GLOBALSTAR AND WINGCAST/FROM GEORGE GILDER:

I think this is the cause for the spike in buying this afternoon. Gilder is very close with the Qualcomm people. He visited their offices fairly recently. He was trumpeting their technology when all the analysts were stomping it for the last several years. This is a post by George Gilder this afternoon.

No definite word as yet (detailed implementation was beyond the scope of the deal, which focused on Internet services). But as the only global vendor of voice with multi-protocol technology and a CDMA player partly owned by Qualcomm, Globalstar will likely participate. Qualcomm sources do not discourage that assumption.

Interesting posts by everyone, lower the price and max out the system, dont lower the price because you cant raise it,data eats up voice and thats bad, data is good, management of g and the sps are not on the ball ,mixed results at least. Are people buying? yes. Are they satisfied? Yes.Will g do more than just voice? yes. Is there any indication so far that the sps are not committed? NO. Is the price for the equipment and mou dropping? Yes. Are the prices dropping fast enough ? Maybe maybe not. Are gS results so far typical of other new industries? Probably slow at first then accelerating. Is G management in tune with the reality of the marketplace? Yes imo. Does it appear that g management has given up? no high level resignations yet so i guess not{the irid folks blew out quick}. Did g hit the market at the worst possible time? Yes. Did it hurt them ? Yes. Can they overcome the massive amount of negative vibes?Time and high quality service will fix that.I would suggest that the wall of worry g is now climbing is one for the record books, the global death cloud of failure the irid screw up cast in both the g market and for the stock market is unprecedented. So who knows?
