Sikorsky is located in Stamford or Stratford, Ct. and It was Sikorsky who developed the Helicopter. Groton, Ct is the site where Submarines are made:-( There was a terrible scandal back in the 80's when the report that a Greek Tycoon was the owner of that Submarine base and all hell broke loose. He disappeared with billions of $$$$$ in Defense Funds and you can guess the rest...

I see... The Seawolf...I remember passing the helicopter mfgr. each year on our annual trips to vacation in Maine... Thanks- Subs seem to be an extremely relevant theme these days. What's the deal...? Why am I free associating 'Ted David' with the Seawolf...?

Sikorsky was developed as a division of United Technology;-) Hartford, Ct. when Reagan was elected all the big Gov't contracts were pulled from them and sent to California and Texas, Over 100,000 jobs were lost ;-( Pratt & Whitney Aircraft Div. E. Hfd. Ct. manufactured Aircraft Engines and Hamilton Standard, Windsor Locks, Ct. manufactured the Propellors for Airplanes(before Jet Engines were developed) They later made the Backpack for Space Suits for the early Space Flights and may continue to do so, I am unsure. The Groton Submarine Base had no connection with UTC.. I have a close friend who writes Training Programs for UTC.
