Clearing typed-in URLs...

A few ways:

Install Tweak-UI on your system. It's on your Win98 CD under PowerToys. Click the Paranoia tab in Tweak-UI and choose what you want to get rid of, and when.

Use REGEDIT and erase the unwanted subkeys beneath
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
The adventursome can create an empty key in a .REG file making the clearing of these URLs a one-click process. The skilled could write a .VBS script file, give it an shortcut and a new icon, and they'd have their very own 'special' feature available.

If all else fails, put some white-out on your screen.

Cheers, PW.
