chic,

check out the 1 GHz Thunderbird availability at pricewatch. It exploded over last few days. 16 pages total for Thunderbird. I think they should split the Thunderbird based on the speed.

Joe

PS: Am I the only one who hates the pop-up menus (with scrollbars) on pricewatch.com?

Chic >>The ANALysts will perceive this as a price war

Based on new K7 pricing, Kumar will probably conclude AMD is forced to lower prices for processors no one wants.

I think AMD started the offensive not a day too soon, while Intel is still capacity constrained, this window of opportunity may only last a few months, hopefully longer :-)

This new pricing could sure help thousands of SD shops to pick up the slack where the majors have left off, motherboard situation is also looking better everyday.
