I find it less than amusing that the Clintinoids dredged up old ( unproven ) allegations about one of Americas heros just to make their man look less skummy by comparison.

Find it pretty amusing , that one of the greatest of our founding fathers and thinkers, Thomas Jefferson...would be one of the first you would be ready to deem a moral degenerate, rapist, and murderer...

I dismiss all religions as Jefferson did, but no one has ever called me a religious bigot. Maybe that's because I am uniform in my dismissal of them.

Hey, 2Moron$, TJ can be in no way compared to Bubba. Bubba's not even in the same league. Thanks for the laugh. I have never seen any credible allegations that TJ was a murderer, rapist or scumbag like Bubba. To the contrary, he was a greeat man and Bubba is a very small man destined to be a pornographic footnote in US history.

And as for TJ's views on religion, not being religious myself I can understand them. But, the difference between non believers like TJ,those who are lapsed like myself and money grubbing religous bigots like youreself, is that while we do not beleive or doubt, we still have respect for the relgious convictions and faith of other. That's why you are a relgious bigot and will continue to be so.

BTW, stupid, it wasn't sex that got Bubba in "dutch", it was perjury, obstruction of justice, suborning perjury, misuse of office and affirmatively lying to the American people. Even a dolt like you should have been able to figure that out by now.

TJ and Christianity (or christianity)

"Thomas Jefferson pursued truth, purity and enlightenment in religion. Although his methods of
‘raillery’ offended some, his motives were altruistic and his goals admirable. Specifically, Jefferson’s
critique of Christianity suggested a simpler, more enlightened alternative of how to perceive God.
This paper examines Thomas Jefferson’s critique of Christianity as witnessed through the plethora of
well-preserved letters written to various correspondents throughout his life. The broad goal of the
paper is to discover the impact of the successes and failures that accompanied his attempt to reform
Christianity. The focus rests on Jefferson’s fundamental struggles with the corrupt attributes of
Christianity instituted by the priestcraft, the failure of this corrupted Christianity to stand up to the
test of reason, and the simple theology Jefferson felt was clearly evident in Jesus’ original message."

Seems TJ had trouble with the "priestcraft" (don't we all) and not any basic message.

This IMO falls into the category of throwing the baby out with the bathwater.

I cannot find anything about "entitlements" in the Constitution, just individual rights. Might need a priest for this one.
