Yes, I believe when Csco is talking vendor financing they are positioning themselves - CSCO - as the vendor and it is Cisco that is financing their customers. You make a number of good points regarding the potential of such financing and I do agree with your points. I believe the thinking amoung many in the industry are that if the customer needs financing from the vendor that must mean that they can't get financing through traditional means and therefore these activities are more risky than the financing a bank might do. Of course we don't know if this is the case but I believe that is what is assumed.... right or wrong.
