John, the data in the Globalstar article is not very recent. More revealing is the fact that billable minutes for G* service doubled during the last quarter. What is also revealing is the new applications that are now being tried out, which were never contemplated in the original business plan. I think the company needs a couple of additional quarters of results in order to demonstrate that the technology is catching on. I don't much care for the shares at this price, because of all the outstanding debt. But I do like the junk bonds, as there are enough backers of the whole concept to prevent the company from defaulting on the bond interest payments. The reference in the article to a mere 13,000 customers is very old and does not appear to be a reasonable indicator of the current level of the business.
