You'll always have trouble with sound outdoors because you have to deal with excessive *white* noise - no way to *pink* the outdoors. A couple of powerful subs go a long way to helping out. Hope the neighbors aren't too close.

We tried to convince the cable people on the island to give up some of their bandwidth for the wireless access. They'd do it if it weren't for having to hire another tech support type. Not this summer, but maybe next summer. I'm so jealous of JXM, he can take the laptop anywhere - the kitchen, the patio, JXN's room, the restaurant down the street..... can hardly wait until it's available on the island. I can get online using a cell phone on the boat but that's limited to 9600 - way too slow.

I have to go ashore to get online. Imagine my commute. Sun peaking thru all the boats as I travel down the row. Someone will hand me a cup of coffee as I go by their boat. Everyone waves as you go by. What is normally a five minute trip can sometimes takes 45 minutes because you have to stop and talk if you see a new friend in town. And during August, that happens all the time. And parking is a nightmare during August. The dinghy docks are packed. Sometimes as many as 25. :)
