Indeed they do. In fact they could use their EV6 chipset directly or leverage the design to work with Athlon if some minor incompatibilities exist. For over a year they haven't. Why? That was one of the great foil highlights when AMD was touting the architecture and their choice of EV6. Heretofore the assumption has been that Athlon is only lacking a SMP chipset to be SMP capable. There may be something more fundamental in Athlon itself that is a problem.
