On Page A7 of monday edition of IBD, there is a full page ad for PSINet, "The Internet Super Carrier" which advertises "everything from multi-currency ecommerce and dedicated hosting to multi-media services, private IP networking and more." In the lower right hand corner of the ad, there is a logo which says "Solutions by Nortel Networks"

Telecomguy, check this article out: thestreet.com

I think it goes a long way to explain how Cisco can compete against seemingly ridiculous odds against Nortel. It seems that it is about choosing your market segments rather than going head to head. Comments appreciated.
