<the seeker knows what eficiency IS, or WHY the seeker SEEKS it???? Are you thinking for the seeker, or is the seeker thinking for you?? >

Let me put it another way. I believe that we and everything else are looking for the easiest way, the best use of energy, our energy. I do not mean being lazy, I mean the best use of resources in relationship to our circumstances.

I feel this is true for EVERYTHING at EVERY level. From what is the shortest drive to the grocery store, to humans started eating more meat and less roots so gained more protein faster so shed most of our intestines (now inefficient) and used the extra protein to grow bigger brains that helped us figure out how to catch more meat and avoid predators. All progresses in efficiency.

A flower bends toward the sun to gather energy more efficient.

Years ago somebody grew a thumb, it helped gather food more efficiently so we kept it.( I realize that is an over simplification)

Everything that happens, everything that is done is a reaction to a stimuli. My contention is that all things are trying to react to that stimulus as efficiently as possible.

Every action, every reaction can be explained in this simple way. We can also say that the basis for all the decisions we make as humans, however trivial or important, can be traced to this root cause.

'Self interest' as you said, is the root of all.

<So does the seeker know what eficiency IS, or WHY the seeker SEEKS it???? >

On some levels I believe we are aware of it. The flower is aware on some biological level. Do we seek it? On the larger level only in the sense that we react positively to mutations that are more efficient and negatively to ones that do not. So I guess on a proactive basis the answer is no, we do not attempt mutations for the purpose of finding efficiencies. Now that I have said that, maybe on some molecular, biological level that IS why things mutate.

<Are you thinking for the seeker, or is the seeker thinking for you?? >

I guess my best answer to that would be the seeker ( the driving force behind all that happens) is thinking ( determining the answers) for us.

Do you make every decision, every day based on this simple formula? I think we all do.

PS. I don't feel I answered your question very efficiently:> But do you have a better idea now of what I am thinking?
