So cheif, in your EW count, I take it that the parabolic run in the Naz-Dung (as we fondly refer to the Nasdaq Composite Index) from November '99-March '00 wasn't a 3rd wave up? Just trying to figure out your count (even though admittedly I know next to nothing about EW). Again, if you have any references as to the theoretical basis behind EW, please feel free to share them with the clowns here....

As far as the "peace dividend" goes, I contend we already squandered it in malinvestments in tech and ridiculous pie-in-the-sky dot com get rich schemes. One of us will be proven right in time, anyway.....

Nice to have you on the board, and I mean it sincerely. It's refreshing when someone with bullish views backs it up with some logic, as we've seen very little of that in the last 6 months.

Regards,

Patron

There's been a lotta hits off the glue bong under the bridge - but I thought I recall seeing the Berlin Wall being sledgehammered down about 10 years and two base closing, GI food stamp, Clinton terms ago.

Don cha know it's time to rebuild the military now. The rise and fall of the military-industrial complex is a regular cycle. Usually lasts about, oh, 10 years top to bottom and vicev.

The M-I spending cycles since WWII:
UP '42-'52
DN '52-'62
UP '62-'72
DN '72-'80
UP '80-'90
DN '90-'00
UP.......

Of course it could all change in the 'New Economy'. LOL

You follow da defense stocks?

BTW- Welcome to the clowndome. <g>

I guess that's why the Dow rose 3 1/2 times in 5 years during the defense build-up from 82 to 87. Coming out of a recession has more to do with the market rising than the socialist clap-trap. At least this decade, we export recessions and depressions with the malinvestment boom/bust cycle, four since 1990.
