Actually I do not see how it is "spending", as you say. Seems to me that Clinton is unaware of trickle down effects of more available money in the public hands, particularly among people who have the funds for private investment.

If you were to consider the effect of the '87 market burp the effect on people of more substance on average may have been a 6 month cutback in expenditures. These expenditures however contributed to the economic well-being of each of us. When there is more money in the mix the average person has a better opportunity to earn and provide him or herself with an ability to improve personal standards of living.

Further, it is a logical leap to presume that Estate Tax will remain in force as well. So what of issues such as farmers, large landowners whose children could not inherit the real estate due to the tax burden. As these farms pass into the mists of time replacing them with more townhouses for more people may result in a different set of socio-economic problems. It may not; but what of these people who cannot afford to keep the family farm. Obviously these are not wealthy people.

This tax issue, I believe, will hurt the democrats particularly in the Heartland.

Great thread.
And of course you know the answer to stop ANYONE from being the suckers that support an out of control government.
We need a totally Libertarian Congress. (except for that Libertarian Republican Ron Paul of course).
A good start would be electing ten more congressmen to go with Paul, a few Senators and Harry Browne!
I'll be back later, have to go work.
