Hi Leigh,
I2 exec joins Dell,

Dell's next push is supposed to be to demonstrate to old economy businesses how to have not only a web presence, but a whole new philosophy of internet centered supplier and customer relations. It's hard to get a whole new focus to a company and this is one of the steps. Of course buying product from the old Dell Computer Corporation may be part of the solution, but the processes are to be the new product.

Westmoreland, re I2/Jensen/Dell

"...Aug. 11, 2000 (InformationWeek - CMP via COMTEX) -- Dell Computer has tapped former i2 Technologies VP Mark Jensen to head its Relationship E-Business unit. As VP and general manager, Jensen will oversee Dell's efforts to develop E-business infrastructures for business customers with more than 400 employees. At i2, Jensen was VP for solutions delivery and launched Hightechmatrix.com, the company's online business-to-business trading platform..."

Jensen was instrumental in getting i2 to where it's at today (ITWO). look at ITWO today! this stock drop in Dell is way overdone; it's becoming silly. those short continue to be of the impression that longs remain uninformed.
