Yes, and then you get terribly frustrated when there isn't any such link. You keep confusing the statement "right now, DDR is more important to AMD then SMP - and DDR is coming soon" with "SMP is coming soon".

Those don't mean the same thing, and the first DDR chipsets are sampling and have been formally announced. To an intellabee, that constitutes volume shipment.

PS - congrats on the 1GHZ PIII showing up in retail more than half a year after it was announced to be shipping. CompUSA has an add in today's paper trumpeting their "exclusive" - an HP 1 GHZ PIII. I guess Jerry can finally let some of those 1.1GHZ Thunderbirds out of his office. How long will the tie last before AMD moves ahead again? One week or two?
