Respond to of 6039 I would like to thank you for providing the audio link of the interview of Dave COII by David Evans of Bloomberg. I have transcribed part of it below. DAVID EVANS: "Now some preliminary studies have been done to show that uh, your system detected, your scanning system detected, 96% of uhhh, the cancers, where, uhhh, a biopsy, detected 99, detects 99 to 100%.Uh, that's certainly very good, but what do you say to the 4% of folks who have cancers, but which would then be missed by your system but would be found by biopsy?" Dave Stocksellingman "Well most women don't want to go through the biopsy to begin with, and they're willing to take the uh, chance based on an 85% rejection rate versus a 4% rejection rate. In other words, they're both byuhhuby, they're two sides of the same coin, and they're willing to uh, they're willing and wanting to say that they would like to have the the painless route, even with the new needle biopsies which are less painful than the, than the, uh, regular biopsy procedure." So Dave is saying, sure our system's accuracy sucks and we know it, but people don't like pain so we give them a less painful way of checking for breast cancer. It's going to miss the cancer 1 in 25 times, but dammit it won't hurt and that's the most important thing. Hey maybe COII can incorporate one of those vibrators from a recliner into the systems bed. Sure it may cut down the accuracy some, but gee, think of how comfy the procedure would be. Or maybe they could drop a few more points off the accuracy but toss in a free massage. It's beyond too funny that people don't point out that the emperor has no clothes. I simply don't believe there are any women, that when given the choice of a little temporary discomfort, or a 1 in 25 chance of missing a tumor, are going to go the comfort route. It should be insulting to women everywhere, for Dave to say such a thing. I believe even less, that there are doctor's or insurance companies in the litigious society that we live in, that are ever going to use this in place of more accurate mammography. I don't know who's scummier, CEO Dave, or chirodoc who touts this crap as the thing that's going to stop the breast cancer "epidemic." (what epidemic?) CMB
