OT ---

I hope Brian doesn't smoke. He supplies more info for this thread than anyone, and his loss would be felt. I lost 2 of my best friends to lung cancer both around the age of 50. They died horrible deaths from run-away tumors caused specifically by cigarrettes. I was addicted until I was about 35 when I was lucky enough to quit. I started smoking when I was very young and I am sure that the tobacco companies marketing effort was directed at kids like me. I hope for a day when Tobacco is no more. I won't ever buy tobacco company stocks. It's my little contribution to their demise as well as a way to honor my friends.

The same with my dad at 58. His one remaining lung collapsed and he suffocated. He started smoking at 13 and quite at 50. By then the damage was done. But if you want to understand the strength of denial, my younger sister remains a pack-a-day smoker.

I don't buy tobacco stocks, either.

BTW, if anyone hasn't seen the Al Pacino/Russell Crowe movie, The Insider, I highly recommend it. One of the best movies ever made.

Pat
