To: Rarebird who wrote (57253 ) 8/13/2000 7:48:38 PM From: d:oug Respond to of 116997 Rarebird, Hopefully without taking sides or implying a slant that requires a reply delivered as a respond to a differing of opinion, I now express my view that todays post here are extraordinary in ways of deep thinking that has created as if thoughts were like a long sharp blade that cut long wide and deep valleys between mountain ranges of opposite undestandings of how we(gold market, economies,...) go to where they are at present with the how and why pointing to a conclusion that the future will either be good bad or might it continue as an indifference to man/womanKind's perspective and flow forth from what has been created in the past as a seed that will germinate and generate into something not controled enough by current events to make much matter in the result? (off topic) Its times like this after i type in like the above, that i wish i did like a Ron Reese and created such words from a cut & paste of others so that i can atleast know the place where they originated from and research it so that i can determine if its babble or not. But no, i have no idea where these thoughts like above travel to and obtain from what unknowned source and transfer into my brain as thoughts for me to type into this post. Guess one should exercise caution before one travels to one's inner mind looking for what creates one's thoughts as one might find out that as one travels and walks through the Valley of Self that one may find out that one is NOT the badest and meanest as one feels the present of another one's self that keeps in the dark the self out there in the light of the world. (back on topic) Message #57253 from Rarebird Sunday, August 13, 2000 <<... Excessive Manipulation in any direction contains the seeds of its own destruction. Manipulation is not in itself illegal, Richard, but a beautiful feature of creative human existence.>> Wish i do that someone with access to the Ayn Rand words would post those few paragraphs that she wrote to explain that battle or friction or manipulation or simply that phrase "dog eat dog" or "its either i or you to win, not both" etc. do NOT reflect the moral and correct way for people to live and interact together for the best results. In other words, one person will not cause another person pain and misery and hardships in mind or body or standard of living by doing what is needed to obtain a better life standard in mind and body and economic avenues such as creating a successful business. Once again a commentary at the Le Metropole Cafe in my opinion spoke of gold as a standard of value and being used to keep paper money honest reflects its unique ability to protect individuals rights from those who wish to destroy it so that they can obtain power and wealth through evil means. Example: From: Ron Reece Sunday, August 13, 2000 1:22 PM ET ... Gold is nothing more than a slavemaster that subverts individual freedoms and national sovereignty. Something you should reflect upon Richard. Regards, Ron there it is in black & white text the battle continues good versus evil dougak / ron reece
