Re: I don't believe that everybody wants to have 64 bit on the desktop right now... Your analysis is right on the mark. To further your argument, the current mass Microsoft Client Software (Win 95/98) is still based on A LOT OF 16 bit software !!!

I've got to hand it to you, Paul, a brilliant piece of analysis. No wonder why neither Intel nor AMD have been able to ship more than a handful of 32 bit processors.
