Scumbria, I mentioned 1 fab, not 8. Even with just one fab achieveing 1.25mil a week that is 65 million PIIIs a year, plus whatever the other fabs produce. Can Intel really sell (or even produce) hundreds of millions of PIIIs per year? How many fabs (counting half of a fab's production as .5 fabs ect.) does Intel have making copermines? Tim

Elmer, Here is a comment you made this morning: "AMD yields suck". Your clever remark came about 6 hours prior to this press release from AMD: "The bottom line on the news today is that we are seeing outstanding frequency distribution on our processors, and we can manufacture high volumes of the higher-frequency processors," said a spokesman for AMD, Sunnyvale, Calif" techweb.com As usual, your FUD is baseless. I admire your persistence however. Scumbria P.S. I'll save you the next round of FUD by stating "The AMD press release talked about speed distribution, but said nothing about yield."
