I agree, but I'll tell everyone here: when I commented about how great the fight was, it was the very beginning of the 4th round, and things were still moving pretty fast. I was initially impressed with Ruiz, having seen him fight in the past. But, by the 5th round, it was jab, jab, HUG/jab, jab, HUG. And after that, well, it all went precipitously downhill.

Again, fans punished more than the pugilists.

"Jabs"

John Ruiz suffered a broken nose in his clash with Evander Holyfield. The Ruiz camp says it came from a Holyfield elbow.

Holyfield's future is still up in the air. The WBA said Evander must defend against #3 Wladimir Klitschko within 120 days. Problem is Klitschko has already signed to face WBO champ Chris Byrd.

Tyson free to enter Malaysia

In contrast to turmoil involving his entrance into the UK, Mike Tyson is being welcomed into Malaysia with open arms. Sports Minister Hishammuddin Hussein said Iron Mike will be free to enter the country for his scheduled January 20 fight. Malaysian boxing offial Tan Sri Mohamed Isa Abdul Samad, said "We are not asking boxing fans and the younger generation to copy what he did." International Trade Minister Rafidah Aziz, a woman, is also supportive saying, "Being violent against women is Tyson's nature and women should just avoid going to the event if they do not like him."
