have you ever seen the movie Three Kings ? if not i suggest you see it, then 'we will talk'!

ROFLMAO!!!!

You are using an incredibly unrealistic movie plot in which to defend treating gold as money?

What if we were talking about an equal dollar amount of uncut diamonds? Which would you choose to go after?

What if we were talking about similar dollar amount of Platinum?

All of these items give a criminal (or military entrepreneur.. :0) a bigger bang for the buck. In fact, being able to hack into a bank's computer system and transfer millions of dollars electronically is a far more attractive venture than trying to cart around a ton of gold
(as I remember they were dealing with $15 million in gold bullion... so 16 x $400/ounce x 2,000 pounds equals $12,800,000).

Let's face it Cora Beth..... err, I mean, Ike... Kelly's Heroes was a far better movie, far more plausible, and possessed the necessary means for transporting such a large and heavy quantity of gold.

Certainly better than the cheap-@ss canvas suitcases in which the gold was stored and carried in 3 Kings.

But other than that, I enjoyed the movie. However, George Clooney is no Clint Eastwood.

Ron
