<It pays to have a flexible mind on this subject because there is still a lot more to learn.>

I am VERY flexible.( Not that you meant I wasn't.)

I often remind myself that not long ago the greatest scientific minds alive believed the earth was flat and felt that any idiot should know that. "You don't fall off do ya....Duh."

I enjoy thinking about all this stuff from time to time but have no real need anymore to KNOW THE ANSWER. I guess I reached a point where I am comfortable with unanswered questions. I think many people feel inadequate, powerless, fearful. Having answers to these BIG questions somehow gives them a bit more of the stability they lack.

In my opinion, this is one reason religion has been so successful. Aside from the social order we all have been discussing here lately, religion calmed many fears of the UNKNOWN.

Anyway. I find it interesting that just about any discussion of God quickly finds itself wrapped up in how the universe started. I guess once you question GOD as the creator the next logical step is, "Then how did it all start?".

How do we use all this to help figure out the day to day relationships of mankind?
