There is a book I once read and was very impressed with..It's called the HARD SELL (I think, I will check.. It's title should even interest LT:-)) It's ideas come from the London Street traders art of gathering a large crowd and then selling off all their inventory in a few minutes....(any ideas where that method can be used in this modern electronic age? -g-) It's NOT about ripping folks off, those guys usually sell good stuff at a good price. The ability they acquire over time is to sell loads of stuff quickly Anyway I digress... In the book, amongst many good learnings is the "magic of three" The magic number is THREE One....two......THREE Everybody knows about it even if just on a subliminal level. It's been drummed into you over your whole life. Some are conscious of it most are not. It is a world wide phenomenon. It's a handy device to train people/sheeples with. Politicions, well successful ones anyway, use it in there speeches..in fact you will see the 123 used everywhere to make a point , the business world knows all about it these days. Thatcher (b***h)was very successful with it. LOL Today I was working on a woodwork project. The sweat is streaming off me but I now remember I had the good fortune to be trained in school by a old WW1 SM who spent 40 yrs in the trade, and still had his mind, and all his fingers and thumbs He turned out cabinet grade woodworkers at a prestigious rate. Didn't bother him at all to give 11 year olds big boxes of sharp pointed objects. When he bellowed he really did put the fear of god into you. Now I think of it, all his instruction was of the 123 kind..you never forget the first one. "Measure Twice, Cut Once". The action is 1..2..THREE (1) you measure and mark (the marking takes up attention, you may make a mistake here) (2) you check the measurements (3) You cut the piece. Think of it this way.... You are lost in the woods...(or the stock market) You have a map (or a theory) You find a "X" co-ordinate bearing, a hill for example. (techs go up on strong earnings) You find a "Y" co-ordinate bearing, a house or river bend (Market overblown "pig" Hi P/E techs and all other techs get killed) You find another bearing that gives you a "cocked hat" three lines that intersect. That is the "confirmation". This is a "confirmation post" (1)First post subject.. Three is the magic number :-) (2)Second post subject.. But Fundementals rulz :-( There was some other posts on a OT subject in between (3) You are understanding me now.:-)) LOL...ROTFLMAO Now sicko and dhell have reported that they are not making all real earnings in the last reports. Be careful of tech co's that report real earnings from the bears POV. rgds, Pearly.
