Glenn, I have been a shareholder for a very short time but like you I believe the company is now set up for a strong run. Only short term. The LightRider news should have the gorillas of the fiber-optic world beating a path to Mitel's door. Just imagine what the take-over rumours will do to the share price. IMHO this story has just begun.
Happy trading,
atial

Glenn ,you are right -Mitel is setting up a very strong run - it's a classic ! Consider this

1.You catch everyone's attention (esp in NY ) with the LightRider news release.

2. The stock jumps and will run further once the analysts confirm the viability of LightRider - believe me that is coming.

3.Once the ball starts to roll ,the company will be scrutinized further and this is what they will find-
i.smartOSA IS shortreach and it is set to ramp
ii.Bluetooth initiatives are second to none
iii. Ipera being delivered
iv. Mitel's VOIP package is considered one of the best , if not the best.
As far as I am concerned these products have hardly been factored into the price yet - except for us diehards , nobody got got very excited about anything Mitel . But they will on closer scrutiny . They WILL be factored more into the stock price ,imo.

4.Look at the fundamentals. The ratio's - P/E, PRICE/SALES ...whatever - they are the best of sector

5. Look at the institutional ownership- it's only 35% , so there will be net buying by institutions in the future

6. On top of everything else ,all indications are that BCS has turned around ...semi backlog is very strong . Earnings this quarter will be very good ,and there will most likely be enhanced guidance .

I have been following this company for 2 decades and the future has never looked better
