Fuel Cells...UTX...United Technologies is a well-positioned producer of fuel cells through their International Fuel Cell (IFC) subsidiary...

IFC is working across a broad spectrum of sizes, for industrial, home, transportation. UTX is a good stock to own as they will benefit from the coming boom in defense (Sikorsky, P&W), the ongoing boom in commercial aerospace, and the future boom in automotive fuel cells (not to mention the revenue generated by Otis and Carrier). IFC intends to be a strong contender in the PEM space for automotive, and they have a strong technical position. Their larger fuel cells for distributed power generation have a strong position in the market as well. Given the overall uncertainty in the market, I like UTX as a fuel cell play. Given my personal experience with MKTY a few years ago, I wouldn't put tootsie-roll money on anything they do...but it was a few years ago and they may have changed...JBK
