AMD will be and should be cautious in pushing production right now because there is not much danger of Intel being product constrained in Q3 and Q4.

So, I doubt AMD will be building product as aggressively as it was before the chipset problem surfaced.


Since AMD's bin splits are very competitive, the risk is lower. The chips can always be sold 1, 2, or 3 months later. This could actually help AMD in the future, since it will allow more flexibility in ramping more aggressive process / new core.

Joe
