Just heard that the Russians have an Oscar down in the Arctic Ocean. That's a Boomer isn't it? Big boat?

They had a collision during a training exercise and went down with a damaged reactor. No radio but they are banging on the hull. Too deep for Russian rescue equipment. Shitty way to go.

Checked Drudge on the sub and it's the Barents Sea. Not all that deep, 170 meters. Possibility of blowing the tubes and floating.

It's an Oscar-2, used for sinking aircraft carriers.

Still, has to be scary.
