Morning gang,

still say: Time Capsule does not allow strong correction before Feb. 2001. Everything is go for Naz 5000 by end of year, Dow 13000, Qcom 100, ELON 70, RMBS 160.

YES - agree totally about EXTR - Next Diamond.

Green lights ahead - Fed meeting - not only will Fed not raise but I suggest they will make some kind of POSITIVE statement going forward as opposed to cautious diligence.

Labor Day - we begin strong ascent to our 5000.

Election - Bush wins and so does big business.

Jan effect - comes earlier every year and this will be no different.

ONE NEEDS TO BE IN THIS MARKET IN SPITE OF HEAD FAKES YOU WILL SEE MONDAY AND TUESDAY OF THIS WEEK AND NEXT.

Famous person? Well, depends. His fame was short-lived,though...

I was ridin' the 1-eyed horse, Pete, explorin' some paper company land that has miles 'n miles of old logging trails on it. Very isolated. We're lopin' along and I'm singin' a Willie Nelson song when I saw in the distance someone approaching at a jog. My first impression was, 'That's nice, someone's having a nice run.' He was wearing an orange jumpsuit... and upon closer inspection, I saw he was barefoot and wearing a wrist identification band. Uh-Oh! I was face-to-face with an escapee! As he stood beside Pete, at my foot, we had a conversation. I was playing it 'cool', had my voice under control, but I'll tell ya, my heart was in my throat and pounding so loud it was almost deafening (wonder if he could hear it?) All the time I was looking at him to see if he had a weapon (didn't see one), and making my own plan of escape. My only 'weapon' was a riding crop. He wanted to know how to get out of the woods. I pointed him in the direction behind me, towards town. As we parted ways, he said, 'Nice horse!'

End of Part I

Part II

I was relieved, to say the least, that he had not snatched me off my horse! Pete and I hightailed it back to the house and called 911 to report the incident. Shortly thereafter, a sheriff's detective came to take me out to the location where I encountered the man. The detective said the man had escaped while in the custody of a deputy, and had run off into the woods. I showed him the bare-foot prints in the sand and gave a physical description of him. The detective said they were bringing out the bloodhounds to track the scent and asked if I'd like to watch them work. I said, 'Yes!' Darkness approached; other patrol cars were arriving. I realized I had not visited the ladies room since before the meeting on the trail, many hours before. I told the detective I had to take a short walk, then located some bushes that would put me out of sight. No sooner did I drop my drawers than I heard cowbells. The bloodhounds were coming toward me! All I could think was that the hounds would find me squatting in the bushes and all the flashlights would be trained on my bare butt!!! Thank goodness bloodhounds don't run like foxhounds! I don't think I've ever moved so fast as I did at that moment. Got myself put back together and back to the detective's car, stood there with my hands in my pockets, rockin' back 'n forth on my heels, and whistlin' like nothin' happened. The bloodhounds tracked the man, but they didn't apprehend him that night. The TV news reported an escapee at large and 3 days later they caught him- he was 'holed' up at a relative's house.
