Let me venture something bold: As we enter the last part of the current earnings season, I see an increasing risk that inteL will give some cautionary or negative guidance on the quarter now in progress. The down draft from this could, ironically, have a more profound impact on the shares of AMD than that on intC shares. I suspect that regardless of how good things are at AMD, it will not respond to the stimulus. As this unfolds, the best buying opportunity for AMD common may unfold (when inteL sneezes AMD catches a bad cold); ie AMD's common may go down even more than that of inteL.

THIS CAN ACTUALLY BE GOOD: REMEMBER HOW THAT ADAGE GOES...IT IS "BUY LOW, SELL HIGH"! In order to buy low, the share price has to decline.

I probably will not buy any, however...I already own so much AMD common that a further commitment on my part might result in my family attempting to have me committed.

Regards,

DARBES

DRBES,

The reason why inteL continues to flail away at AMD's "backside", as you call it, is that it (AMD's backside) continues to be the only part of AMD that
is still visible to inteL. A visibility that is becoming increasingly less apparent as AMD pulls decisively ahead of inteL.

NOW THAT'S FUNNY!!! You made my day.

Pravin.
PS: Salmon fishing on northern Vancouver Island was awesome. Glad I missed out on the price drop to $54 last week. I think I'll spend more time away from the market.
