Yogi, Roebear and Robert.

Sat talked to a very good friend who's a professional trader on the NYMEX. Trades crude, NG and gold. He hit me with a very interesting piece of anecdotal stuff. Outside the exchange this is not widely known, but the Gold pit is almost empty. Now obviously it hasn't been an active OR heavily populated ring in recent years, except for occasional ST spikes like last Sept. But just in the past week or two some of the few locals left just walked. They moved to the financials, word being they concluded it was a waste of time trying to play against Goldman Sachs and the other big carry trade merchants in the pit. So Goldman has complete control of the bid at the moment.

ST? Sure, it's not bullish. But I do know that a complete emptying of the pool is always one of the key things that has to happen before the final low is in and a new bull market can launch. So LT this is actually a step in the right direction.
