Its highly unlikely that DeBeers wont get 50.1% with the lockup deal. Those who dont tender will be left with an illiquid stock. There are ways for the bidding company to squeeze out reamaining shareholders.

The best way to play this now is to tender and hope for a competing bid IMVHO.

That's very interesting question.

The only way to find out is to sit on your hands and shares for a while yet. There's lots of time to see what else is hiding in the bushes.
