Jim, That wasn't the question. Do you still expect benchmark improvement of the 820E over the 820?
Intel's previous comparison was 820 vs 815E. Now the comparison should be 820E vs 815E. That's the key here, not what AMD can do.

Jim, re: Look at the benchmark results for the PIII 1.1GHZ. They defeat the Athlon by more than expected. I believe it uses the 820e.

Do you have any links? The only benchmarks I've seen are from Anand. The PIII/1.13GHz is a screamer with an overclocked 440BX. (133 MHz). No tests with 820/E. (The Athlon 1GHz with KX133 beats it in the Specview tests, though).

I'm not really interested in how it compares to the Athlon, though. It would be very interesting to see a comparison of the PIII/1.13GHz with 820E and 815E.
