I remember in the middle of that, Ted Kennedy asking Volcker in a Senate hearing, something like, "Why isn't the Fed more responsive to the immediate wishes of the voting public?" and Volcker responding, "Senator, I believe that's why the Federal reserve was set up the way it is."

Does anyone know a link that gives a continually updated report of results of presidential polls?
