The news is an undeniable positive. QCOM is horizontally integrating the market base for CDMA ASIC's - cell phones, OmniTracs, Globalstar, Wingcast, Wireless Knowledge, and PDA's. There has been some development of wireless modems for laptops & other computing devices. I expect to see more progress as the deployment of 1X in the US hits critical mass.
