Volume picking up on ATW today. It moved from accumulate to buy in my book. Downside breakout is still possible from this pendant formation, but to me it looks far more likely to break to the upside given today's positive action and volume.

Now at 41 7/16 on the ask and climbing.

Also bought a little NSS. MACD turning positive on PGO the forgotten bastard child of the OSX.

Manta Ray Offshore Gathering Company Constructing Major Pipeline Extension To Its Existing System

HOUSTON, Aug. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Manta Ray Offshore Gathering Company, L.L.C. announced today that it is constructing a major extension to its existing offshore gathering system.

Manta Ray (owned 50 percent by Shell Gas Transmission, 25.67 percent by El Paso Energy Partners, L.P., and 24.33 percent by Marathon Gas Transmission Inc.) is constructing this pipeline as a result of agreements entered into with Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, Shell Exploration & Production Company, and Ocean Energy, Inc. to gather gas from the Hickory prospect located in Grand Isle Blocks 110, 111, and 116.

Anadarko first announced the Hickory discovery in October 1998 and is currently drilling additional development wells. A production platform is planned to be moved on location at Grand Isle Block 116 late this summer and will have facilities capable of handling 300 MMcf per day of natural gas. Gas production from Hickory is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2000.

Manta Ray's 22.25 mile, 20-inch diameter pipeline extension will tie in to its existing gathering system at South Timbalier Block 292 and extend to the Grand Isle Block 116 platform. This strategic extension better positions Manta Ray to compete for the transportation of additional gas volumes in a new prolific area. The Manta Ray extension has been sized to handle the total Hickory volumes as well as additional volumes that may be available in the surrounding area.

Folks, are we at the inflection point here? Are we going to break out here big, and is anybody buying...or are we due for a pull back and a failure of 130ish? Wondering whether I should add to my trading positions or trim.

time will tell,
