Jim, Flags tend to take at most three weeks to complete. I prefer to think of the Naz's bigger picture as a broken rising wedge whose downtrend was halted by the Oct. 98 trendline. We've been forming the bear flag since that decline was halted, possibly setting up for another leg down.

Jim--

My understanding is that you begin drawing a bear flag in a down trend with a low point. The high of 5/1 would not be an appropriate starting point.
