Well...it does seem that there there has been an organized attack on Rambus for sometime. Such an action could be motivated by the desire to pressure the stock during these patent negotiations. I'm no lawyer but I seem to recall "intereference with prospective advantage" is an tort in civil law. There may also be SEC violations involved. It would be good to get some input from someone familiar with the SEC rules regarding such a propaganda campaign.
Actually, something like this might come under the RICOH act which was originally directed at organized crime but since has been applied to organizations that combine together in violation of the law. As I recall this act has already been used in connection with stock manipulation in New York.
