Well you asked for it Perry. My source tells me Alcatel is in the process of evaluating ADI ADSL chipsets. Alcatel is unable to produce enough chipsets to supply their demand and their chipset isn't that good. Alcatel has had problems. It is more likely we'll hear something about ADI/ALA before we hear much about AWRE/INTC....from what I hear. Some people think it's possible ADI is already shipping to ALA...BUT...Remember all is conjecture and rumor at this point. Tomorrow ADI reports after the bell...maybe we'll be enlightened during the CC. IMO it is not likely anything solid has been decided about the AMD chipset unless it is actually available and been tested.
