NYMEX is trying to kill the palladium market (read: bail out some of da boyz trapped in short positions, like the Tocom did a while back) by demanding more margin ($135,000) than the underlying notional value of the contract ($73,000 as of now). free markets? not if the positions of the boyz are underwater...
