Darel, thank you for your post. Yes, I am serious.

population uses the net. you're part of the 5%. ""

I live in Europe! What Dell has to do with Internet. They are box makers and want to re-invent their business. I give them the credit, bu they are primarily box-makers.

, not from someone who professes to know a lot""

I never said that, you did! Else, like you, I would have read the SAP report. ggg

you don't live in Europe. this is the reason the Europeans are giving. you should complain to Europe. read a SAP report for comparison. fact remains that Europe is about 2 years behind the U.S. Europe may even fall behind Asia within two years in computing power. ""

I do live in Northeren Italy, to be precise, in Lombardia Province. This is one of the wealthiest and most advavanced
region in Italy and the Europe. Here lies 80% of tatal Italian industry and national wealth. I have yet to see a Dell computer!!!

? Dell is hard on CPQ's tale and has been for two years. the market down the street enjoys bad attitudes""

Well not anymore. Market wants results and Dell has failed to give it, for the past two years that is.

As for the rest of your post, we are way behind the US and even Asia in Internet, I agree. But again, Dell is wrong in
asuming that it can use its American business models here. It may work with Asians and SOuth Americans, where the people has such low tech mentality that are glad to adapt
to Dell business model, but we have our ways doing things that are hard to change. If Dell wants business here, it has either to invent a busniess model that would work here, else wait until we have caught up with the US in the use of intern.

Kind regards

Yaacov
